COMMUNITY GARDENS
Growing fresh food, skills, and community through sustainable gardening
One Garden at a Time

Since 2013, the Brownsville Wellness Coalition’s Community Gardens program has empowered residents to grow their own food using organic and regenerative practices. More than just a space to garden, it’s a hands-on learning experience in building healthy soil, boosting natural yields, and cultivating a deeper connection with nature.
We offer everything you need to get started—space, seeds, tools, and expert guidance in sustainable techniques like composting, companion planting, and water conservation. By regenerating the soil and reducing waste, our gardens nourish families and strengthen our local ecosystem.
Whether you want to grow food for your family, share with neighbors, or even sell at the Farmers’ Market, our gardens are open to all. Join us in growing fresh food, healthier soil, and a greener future for Brownsville!
